The Original Doom Application
Doom is a first person shooter game. It was developed by id Software and was released in 1993. The game was a hit, and its success paved the way for many other games.
DOOM has a simple plot, but the levels are complex and challenging. Players battle monsters and demons in a haunted world. As they progress through the levels, they need to locate the exit room, which is labeled with a red EXIT sign.
There is a low detail mode, which allows the game to run on slower PCs. Doom has a stereo sound system, which helps the player to determine the direction the sound is coming from.
Doom is also a moddable game. This feature allowed the developers to add new features that were not present in the original. For example, the game could be made to have a custom soundtrack, or the character's appearance, or the player's level, etc.
Doom is available on different platforms, including the original iPod nano and Apple iPhone. You can download the original version of the game from the Google Play Store for free. To play on your Android phone, you will need the Android 4.0 or later operating system.
Since its release, the game has been enhanced for mobile. In the 2019 update, nine new levels are being added. These are called "Sigil." The game will be released in February 2019.
DOOM has been released on physical media and in other formats. The source code for the game can be downloaded from GitHub.
